Superstar Components UK Made derailleur wheels have been specially developed for Shimano rear machs and older SRAM models. They are manufactured inhouse in our CNC facility in the UK from high-strength Aerospace grade 7075 T651 aluminium alloy. The tooth profile design of the wheels keeps your chain safely where it belongs, and also provides a crisp shifting behaviour. We know our customers ride in extreme conditions so we fit double sealed bearings which are replaceable in-case they wear. These are further hidden by a double labyrinth seal for extra durability.
In order to ensure the smoothest possible running over a longest period, we install standard size sealed deep groove ball bearings with the option of ceramic hybrid bearings for extra performance. We do not fit stainless steel bearings as they are softer than bearing steel and will fail much sooner than a bearing steel will rust. (if there is visable rust the bearing is contaminated and will die no matter what the material is!)
