Fitted to Ultegra R8000 chainset with the small modification and works well.
I'm possibly stretching capacities running 48T and 11-42.
It works but is noisy. Way more noisy than my MTB 1x rings. And fairly regularly drops the chain off the top of the ring. Its also way noisier than my GRX on my other bike.
Also, looking at the tooth profile its barely thicker than the standard outer ring I took off. Probably so it can fit 12sp and the narrowness I feel is contributing to the noise and chain drop as the chain rattles way more than my MTB and GRX gravel 11sp ring with 11sp chain which is much tighter. The shimano 1x teeth are noticeable thicker and chain tighter on the teeth.
BUT for £35 compared to nearly £100 for competitors rings its a small price to pay.
So all up, it does the job. Wasnt sure i'd stick 1x on road and as a tester it's been perfect.
Longer term though i suspect I'll be running something else in 12months.
