Disc Brake Hose Fitting Kit Alloy
Description
Lightweight 7075 T6 aluminium fittings for most common/popular disc brakes, for use in conjunction with Superstar Components hydraulic hoses. Each kit includes relevant parts for the brake selected, such as inserts and olives, with parts supplied for both front and rear brakes. Please note, alloy fitttings require care when installing. Overtorquing or poor tools will damage these parts. Not sure which kit you need? Please consult our Fitment Guide.
Note: Kit 6 is for new formula brakes with 1 pitch thread, Kit 7 is for magura MT brakes with M5 banjo.

A Specific Item That Needs Attention...

Those are not for everybody, being aluminium it means you need to know how much you torque them, and you need good tooling as well! Use those magic Knipex Wrench-Pliers to avoid damaging the finish ;-) I am leaving 3 stars because yes they do fit my Hope MonoMini levers and calipers, but they don't work well with Hope's braided hose. If the Superstar braided hose was available, I would have -

Bought the blue kit 2 for fitting to Shimano Zee brakes... the banjo bolt on the rear snapped as I was nipping it up... the alloy is very soft.. apart from that the kit and the hose are pretty good... -
Great Looking, Easy To Round

These fittings certainly look the part, but they're very easy to round off, although that's to be expected from aluminium. Unfortunately for me that meant re using the old ones on some of the fittings. -
Magura Mt4 Fittings.

I wasted 3hrs trying to bleed my Magura MT4 brakes using this rubbish kit of fittings. Banjo copper washers would not seal with a genuine steel bolt and alloy banjo bolt torx head stripped when finger tight. -

Alloy fittings for the Hope rear banjo a complete joke!. Bolt only has 3 spare threads available to screw into caliper. Thin, hollow bolt with 2 oil port holes built in simply snapped when nipped up with little force. ALWAYS use steel bolts on smaller threads.
