Combined with superstar rotors these are a great stop for the wet/boggy conditions I'm currently riding. Cannot fault them for the money at all. Added bonus is they are red... I like red!

I changed to ?er brake pads on the advise of reviews in bike mags. First set fell apart, they were replaced no problems free of charge. Second sets of top of the range pads wore out in 3 weeks. Back to superstar pads for me no question best pads going Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

Excellent pads, Great in Dry and Wet. Probably best to switch them out for sintered on gritty nasty rides though as I've burned through a set in particularly bad conditions at Afan.

Have to say I'm disappointed with superstar organic pads despite having used them for years. Maybe they are using a new supplier but the compound doesn't last as long and are destroyed after 2 months of riding once every 2 weeks on normal trail centre stuff.

Brake setup: Shimano Zee brakes Avid HS1 200/180mm rotors (F/R) originally came with Shimano Resin without radiators In short, they were just as good as the original Shimano Resins. Strong bite and great modulation on both pads (Superstar Kevlar and Shimano Resin), silent in most conditions (see below). Rode them in winter, mud and now in dry hot weather. Excellent performance in all condit

Good in summer but appalling in winter. DO NOT BUY IF RIDING IN WET/MUDDY CONDITIONS as they wore out in less that one ride when it was muddy. However I would rate in the summer as they last for a decent time in dry conditions.

Ordered Sunday night, arrived Tuesday morning-great service. Fitted them to deore brakes, and once bedded in, they give more power and more feel at the lever- spot on. Can't comment on lifespan yet, but I've had a set of these before and they lasted well. ̏ for ̏ they are brilliant, and I can"t understand why you"d pay more for less. The best bit? I used them to teach my son how disc brakes work,
