  • So So So Loud

These are honkingly, ridiculously, embarrassingly loud. Worked fine in terms of stopping power, but the loudest pads i've ever used. Can't comment on wear as I couldn't bring myself to keep using them and destroying the peace on every trail I rode. So I swapped back to the old pads, which were silent, then fitted some of the kevlar versions I'd also purchased, which were also silent, so the

I tried everything i could think off, even wrote to SSC support. But these pads kept squealing like a pig. However, customer service was great and gave me a refund. +1 star for that.

Superstar Comment: Hello noisy pads are normally due to worn out rotors, alignment issues, contamination or a lack of bedding in. Im sure the customer service team would have passed on that standard informa

I have just replaced the stock pads on my Shimano SLX disc brakes with the Organic Pads, the Shimano were never very good, no bite noisy and just poor stopping power. The Superstar pads are awesome! Loads of bite and control. Bedded in following the instructions on the packet in 5 minutes. Very impressed.
  • Does Not Work With Guide Ultimates

Look very good but DO NOT fit ALL SRAM Guides. They cannot bolt them into Ultimates as they do not fit into the different opening shape of the Ultimates.

They're fiddly to put on, the 2 finned parts and the 2 pads and the spring often pop out of your hand when you're trying to put them on. They last a while longer than shimano's ice tech pads but not sure if the fins do anything...
  • Don't Follow The Bedding In Instructions

Bought a pair for some Shimano 535 brakes and a pair for Elixir r's followed the bedding instructions for the shimano's and now they have negligable bite and glaze over very quickly. Didn't bother for the Avids and they work fine but i don't get the impression they'll last as long time.

Superstar Comment: Hello if the pads glazed over while bedding in this indicates that the rotor

Great pads! 8 months in and still going strong. These pads are quiet and work well in all conditions. Just as good as the swiss stops i had before and at 1/4 the price.

     Superstar Comment:

Hello im sorry you have noisy pads, this is usually due to contamination or worn rotors, if your rotors are used it may be the cause of te issues. rock hard sintered pads will always be noiser, so we would recomend a soft pad as

Superb brake pads- great feel and bite from cold & wear is good. I would urge everyone to read the organic/Kevlar/sintered guide as spot on. I have raced motocross for around 15 years & am very fussy about brake feel- do not like the feel and inconsistency of sintered pads. I have used organic and Kevlar superstar pads for last 4 years- brilliant product & awesome service from company
