I have the 15mm version of these adaptors on my front Carbon AM wheel but they squeak annoyingly when the wheel slows down so I removed them to apply some grease only to find that the tiny rubber seal around the edge would not go back into the hub as it had somehow stretched to be bigger than the groove available for it. I used that guard for a week in the Alps. It worked fine for the first three days until the chain jammed in the top guide then it would jam 3/4 times a day after. i couldnt lower the top guide any further without fouling the chainring bolts. Aligned and fitted correctly on a Kona Entourage, after having to grind down the back bolt for clearance. Note the slider plate looks too big if you're using
I bought one of these cages and it hold my bottles securely without rattles, It just works really well so I bought another ( enough said).
I admittedly only use this on my road bike but I would happily use it on my mountain bike
