Almost killed my Blue Pig.
This skewer has very little clamping force compared to a decent one. New build, I'd checked the skewer was tight before we set off, and on a gentle climb my bike spat the back wheel out, twisting the area of plate around the brake side dropout. Luckily the frame is steel, but it took an hour from my LBS then an extra hour of tweaking from me to get the frame true with
I have had my skewers for over a year now, I never originally posted a review... As my riding has improved I have been riding much rougher and harder terrain, over the last 3-4 months they have started to loosen and I am having to tighten many times during a ride, this has been happening with two different sets of wheels and two different forks, so it is the skewers just working loose with vibrati
Had these for almost a year now & they have been trouble free. Have them on a 2012 Scott Genius and have ridden them with 0% issues. Very good & light product and have taken weekly 3ft drops via my local ride home. Very happy :)
Bought some for the GFs bike in an attempt to weight weenie her bike. After getting the superfly seat post QR a month or so beforehand I wasn't too worried about these. They seem to work well, don't come loose and weigh next to nothing.
