Writing a review for an 203mm (or 8") rotor.
Pros:
- thick (3mm) so impossible to bend - my older 160mm Shimano rotor and Avid G2 185mm vent off center after 1-2 rides. This one from Superstar, although bigger than both which means its easier to bend, never came off center !
- large braking surface - extremely important for those that use Magura disc brakes like older Louise or Martas that have the biggest brake pads that I've seen. Shimano 160mm rotor has 13mm height of brake surface, Avid G2 185mm has 15mm brake surface height, and this one from Superstar has almost 19mm, which means my Louise pads are fully on the brake surface, and not on the spider arms of the rotor.
- surface of the rotor is just like any other - good friction factor
Cons:
- weight - it heavier than most 203mm rotors
